The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends that a dental visit should occur within six months after the presence of the first tooth or by a child’s first birthday.

The initial appointment lasts about 30-45 minutes and will help the child get acquainted with the office, staff and the dentist.  A typical first visit includes an exam, cleaning and fluoride treatment for the child.  Depending on the patients age, we will try and complete a set of xrays for our baseline records.  Our doctor and staff use lots of tell-show-do and prizes to help the patient feel comfortable and enjoy their visit to at the office.
